Samsung has officially unveiled the new generation of foldable smartphones, updating the lineup with three models: the base Galaxy Fold 8, the flagship Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra, and the compact Galaxy Flip 8. The new devices feature a redesigned look, improved cameras, and deep integration of Galaxy AI.
Flex Titanium Technology and New Design
The main engineering achievement of the series is the new Flex Titanium technology. Developers combined a titanium alloy with a specialized plate to minimize the visibility of the screen crease and increase the overall durability of the structure. All devices in the series feature water resistance according to the IP48 standard, and the screens are capable of peak brightness up to 3000 nits.
Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra: Maximum Performance
The top-tier model of the lineup, the Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra, is positioned as a premium solution. The smartphone is equipped with an 8-inch main screen and a 6.5-inch external display. At the heart of the device lies the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor.
Key specifications of the model:
- 200 MP main camera;
- 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging;
- Thickness when unfolded — just 4.1 mm;

The base version of the foldable smartphone also boasts impressive specifications. The device weighs 201 g and offers a 7.6-inch internal display along with a 5.5-inch external screen. Like the top model, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip. The camera system features a dual 50 MP module, and the battery capacity is 4800 mAh.
Galaxy Flip 8: Thinness and Compactness
The third new release, the Galaxy Flip 8, has become the thinnest representative of the series. When unfolded, the device thickness is 6.1 mm, and the weight is just 180 g. Intelligent Features and Security
The software side of the new series focuses on optimizing Galaxy AI for foldable form factors. Users have access to Now Brief and Now Nudge features, which provide personalized analytics throughout the day and suggest contextual actions during messaging. Deep integration with Gemini allows for automating workflows in over 40 applications.
Data protection is ensured by the Samsung Knox architecture, Knox Vault, and the isolated Personal Data Engine module.
