Logistics is the bloodstream of any army. If this system is severed, the enemy begins to suffocate. This is exactly what is happening now in southern Ukraine, where the Special Operations Forces (SOF), together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), have dealt a crushing blow to a key route of the Russian occupiers — the R-280 highway.
Hunting the "Iron Road"
We are talking about the strategically important corridor "Mariupol — Melitopol — Simferopol". Here, a real hunting ground has opened up for Ukrainian aviation. Priority targets are enemy military equipment and supplies in its so-called "deep rear". For this, the SOF used secret strike "wings" that had not previously appeared in the public domain.
Ukrainian fighters admit that thanks to close cooperation with domestic manufacturers, it was possible to create a complex ideally adapted for such tasks. The effectiveness of the system has been confirmed by dozens of destroyed Russian trucks and fuel tankers. The scale of losses has forced the Russian command and the occupation authorities to restrict the movement of heavy vehicles on the so-called "Novorossiya" highway.
No Detours
The 412nd Nemesis Brigade of the SOF emphasized that attempts by Russians to use field and dirt roads to bypass the blockade are futile. Ukrainian drones successfully detect and eliminate targets on any terrain. This indicates that the Ukrainian side is not just using ready-made solutions, but creating them for specific tasks, taking into account the features of the terrain and the tactics of the enemy.
Recall that the Commander of the SOF, Robert "Madjar" Brovdy, addressed the Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko in a harsh tone and warned him against aggressive rhetoric towards Ukraine. This once again emphasizes that Ukrainian special services work not only on the battlefield but also in the information and diplomatic spheres.
Echo in Central Russia
After a series of drone attacks, a number of the largest refineries in central Russia reduced or completely stopped fuel production. This indicates that Ukrainian drones are already capable of striking strategic objects deep inside enemy territory. And if such operations were previously considered science fiction, today they have become a reality.
Thus, Ukrainian "strike wings" have not only severed Russia's logistics in the south but have also forced the enemy to reconsider its supply plans. This is an important step towards finally depriving the enemy of resources and forcing it to retreat.
