The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a large-scale series of sabotage operations on Russian territory. On the night of July 25, long-range drones struck a number of strategically important targets, including military vessels and industrial facilities in various regions of the country.

Results of operations in the Caspian Sea

One of the most significant results of the night raids was success in the Caspian Sea. According to the SBU press service, drones struck a military ship, as well as civilian vessels used for transporting military cargo. Specifically, a missile boat and two cargo ships involved in the logistics chain with Iran were hit.

These strikes are aimed at disrupting the supply of weapons and military equipment that Russia receives from allies via the Caspian corridor. The destruction or damage of such objects inflicts significant damage to the enemy's logistics.

Strikes on targets in the Rostov region

On the night of July 25, long-range SBU drones successfully struck a number of military targets in Rostov-on-Don. Among the damaged objects was a fuel and lubricants depot, which is critical for the operation of military equipment and transport.

A radar station (Radar) was also attacked in this region, reducing the capabilities of the Russian Aerospace Forces to detect air targets and coordinate strikes.

Attacks on industrial facilities deep inside Russia

Ukrainian defense forces continued to expand the geography of strikes, hitting targets far beyond the border zones. On the night of July 25, drones attacked:

  • An oil refinery in Tyumen;
  • A Wildberries marketplace warehouse in Yekaterinburg;
  • A facility in Kirov that produces components for Russian strike systems used against Ukraine.

The strike on the plant in Kirov is particularly important, as it directly affects Russia's ability to produce and maintain its armed forces. The destruction or damage of such enterprises can slow down or completely halt the production of critically important components.

Significance of operations for Ukrainian defense

These strikes demonstrate the growing capabilities of Ukrainian intelligence and special operations to deliver precision strikes deep into the enemy's rear. The use of long-range drones allows for minimizing risks to personnel while inflicting damage on infrastructure that supports Russia's military operations.
