A sudden power outage occurred in Sevastopol. Residents of the city were left without electricity without prior warning and without adhering to the schedule of planned works. Information about the power supply failure came from the Telegram channel of the so-called governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhayev.

Reason for outages

According to Razvozhayev, restrictions on electricity supply were introduced due to an overload of power grids that arose outside the region. He clarified that the decision was made on the command of the dispatcher of the Black Sea RDU (branch of JSC "SO UES"). Currently, the city is operating under a regime of temporary power supply restrictions.

The official schedule for restoring power has not yet been published. Razvozhayev promised that as soon as the document is approved, it will appear in the "Sevastopolenergo" channel.

Situation in Crimea

The power outage in Sevastopol occurred against the backdrop of a tense situation in Crimea. RBC-Ukraine reports that after a night airstrike on the peninsula, loud explosions were heard in several districts. At the moment, details of the attack target are being clarified.

Statement by the President of Ukraine

In the context of the ongoing events, the public's attention was drawn to the statement by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, regarding Crimea. The head of state did not reveal specific details but emphasized that the operation on the peninsula is precisely calculated. Zelenskyy also expressed confidence that Russia will be forced to choose the path to peace.
