A high-profile incident in Kryvyi Rih has concluded, sparking widespread public resonance. A single father, who was illegally mobilized by officials of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSC), has been released and sent home. The man is now reunited with his five-year-old daughter.

The return of the father to his child was confirmed by Dmytro Lubyntsi, the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In his Telegram channel, the Ombudsman wrote: "The 5-year-old daughter is with her father again." According to him, such a swift result was made possible thanks to the public reaction and the joint efforts of all who cared about the situation.

Reason for release and next steps

Alexey Urlatkin, the Ombudsman's representative in the Dnipropetrovsk region, met with the single father. During the conversation, the man explained that he was released not simply, but to resolve urgent issues related to his child and to complete the necessary documentation.

The mobilization situation was critical. The father was taken while his daughter was at kindergarten. During this period, the child was effectively left under the supervision of the kindergarten director. Previously, the man had applied twice for a deferment from mobilization, but both times he was refused.

Context and parallels

Earlier, RBK-Ukraine covered all the details of the scandal in Kryvyi Rih in detail, including comments from representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional TRSC and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The incident became one of the most discussed in the region.

This case is not isolated in the context of mobilization problems. Previously, a similar case involving a father of a large family was recorded in the Mykolaiv region. After mobilization activities, the man was illegally detained in the basement of one of the TRSCs for nine days. According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GBR), methods of psychological pressure, humiliation, and coercion to agree to mobilization were used against him.
