Street Culture Kyiv has opened at the VDNG urban park in Kyiv as a new hub for developing street sports, dance, music, and street art. Spanning 250 square meters, the center, as reported by Wave RBC.UA, is designed as a space for learning, creative experiments, and interaction among youth communities from various Ukrainian cities. The building, featuring a brick facade and stone foundation facing the park grounds, has become a focal point for artists, athletes, and community leaders to train, exchange experiences, and bring shared ideas to life.

Education, Training, and Coworking

The center's program includes educational courses, workshops featuring artists and athletes, as well as conferences and creative project presentations. Visitors can attend open training sessions in breaking, hip-hop, and other street dance styles. A dedicated coworking space has been set up for those wishing to work on joint projects and share experiences, while excursions around the urban park and Street Culture Kyiv itself will be organized for schoolchildren, students, and representatives of specialized organizations.

Music, Cinema, and Street Art

The venue's creative wing features community podcast recordings, film screenings, performances, and broadcasts of national and international championships. A separate area is designated for exhibitions by artists working with street art and graffiti. The musical program covers DJing, beatmaking, beatboxing, and sound design, complemented by SC Party Club events featuring vinyl sets by DJs from across Ukraine, bringing together the street dance community, record collectors, and music enthusiasts connected to street culture.

A Professional Venue for Athletes

Beyond its public functions, Street Culture Kyiv will serve as a professional training ground: it will house the office of the Breaking Department of the All-Ukrainian Dance Sport and Breaking Federation, as well as the office of the Skateboarding Department of the Ukrainian Roller Sports Federation. The center will also become the base for the Kyiv city and Kyiv region breaking national teams, uniting athletes and artists for regular training and professional growth.

Behind the Project and Expansion Plans

The space was founded by the Street Culture NGO, a Ukrainian platform and youth movement developing street sports and creative street culture industries in Ukraine and beyond. The team already runs similar initiatives in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Okhtyrka, with plans to open new locations in Dnipro and Mykolaiv. The organization also runs the Street Culture Academy educational project and volunteer initiatives for local communities and children, making the new Kyiv center part of a broader network of youth spaces ranging from centers and parks to camps.
