Tragedy at a food production facility

Early in the morning in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, a horrific event occurred: Russian drones struck the administrative building of the 'Yahotynske for Children' factory. As a result of the attack, four people were killed, and another four were injured. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the scene, and information regarding the deceased and injured is being verified.

According to the State Emergency Service, a major fire broke out at the facility. The factory building sustained extensive damage. Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that two more people may be trapped under the rubble.

Target of the attack — civilian infrastructure

The 'Yahotynske for Children' factory produced dairy products, yogurts, and baby food — goods consumed daily by thousands of Ukrainian children. The attack occurred during working hours, when employees were present at the facility.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described this strike as part of a series of Russian 'victories' that are, in reality, acts against the civilian population. He recalled that in recent days, Russia also struck food warehouses, a postal service in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a school in the Sumy region, a port in the Odesa region, residential buildings, and other civilian infrastructure.

Consequences and reaction

Photos published by the State Emergency Service show the aftermath of the strike: charred structures, scattered debris, and smoke rising from the burning remains of the building. Firefighters and rescuers continue to extinguish the fire and search for potential victims under the rubble.

This is not the first attack on civilian objects in the region. Previously, on June 4, Russian drones destroyed a road crew during road repairs, killing 10 units of special equipment. Such actions cause outrage and highlight the systematic nature of strikes against peaceful objects.
