On the afternoon of July 11, the Russian army struck a critical infrastructure facility in Chernihiv. As a result of the attack, an employee of the enterprise was injured, according to the press service of the Chernihiv City Council.
Consequences of the attack in Chernihiv
Preliminary data indicates that not only infrastructure facilities but also the private sector were damaged during the strike. Broken windows were reported in three residential buildings. At the time the information was received, explosions were still being heard in the city, indicating ongoing enemy activity.
Scale of the attack on Ukraine
The events in Chernihiv were part of a massive strike launched by Russia across the entire territory of Ukraine on the night of July 11. The enemy used ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as 121 attack drones. While air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the targets, some hits could not be avoided.
Specifically, the capital of Ukraine was once again subjected to shelling by ballistic missiles. Hits were recorded in several districts of Kyiv, resulting in 11 casualties, including a child.
Other regions under attack
On the morning of July 11, other cities were also targeted. In Kharkiv, Russian drones attacked a civilian enterprise, causing casualties. In Odesa, two people were killed and another man was injured as a result of a missile strike.
