Strike on industrial park in Zhytomyr region: one killed, two injured

According to Vitali Bunetsko, head of the regional military administration, the attack on a civilian enterprise killed one person and injured two others. The report on the incident, published on September 17, 2026, was confirmed by Ukrainian media citing an official statement from regional authorities.

According to Bunetsko's statement, the target of the strike was a civilian enterprise located within the industrial park. The attack on the Korosten district continued a series of Russian strikes on civilian and infrastructure facilities in Zhytomyr region, which, according to local authorities, are carried out predominantly using suicide drones. Thus, on September 13, 2026, drones launched a massive attack on the region: infrastructure facilities and civilian buildings were damaged, two people were killed, and two more were hospitalized. The day before, on September 12, a grocery store in Zvyahel came under attack — two people were killed, and a local enterprise and gas stations were also damaged.
