The 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade 'Chornyi Lis' (Black Forest) took responsibility for the operation. The target was the 'Khalino' airfield located in the Kursk region. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the strike group delivered a precision hit, disabling two key assets:
- A MiG-29 fighter jet;
- A 'Pantsir-S1' anti-aircraft missile and gun system (SAM).
The Ukrainian command emphasized in their statement that the destruction of the fighter jet and the anti-aircraft system inflicts significant damage to the combat capabilities of the Russian grouping in the border region.
