Ukrainian special forces have delivered a precision strike against Russian logistics. Fighters from the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense destroyed a convoy of trucks transporting cargo through the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region to Crimea. The operation became part of the systematic work to disrupt the enemy's supply chains.
Operation on occupied territory
According to information published by RBK-Ukraine, citing the GUR Active Actions Department channel "Main Risk Management", fighters carried out a special operation directly on the occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. The target of the strike was vehicles ensuring the delivery of cargo along the so-called land corridor connecting the mainland part of Ukraine with the peninsula.
The published footage records the destruction of several units of enemy equipment. Strikes were carried out using DAD unit drones — "Long-range aviation drones". This confirms the growing role of unmanned systems in striking targets in the enemy's deep rear.
Disruption of logistics routes
The GUR emphasized that the destruction of trucks led to the disruption of a key logistics route. Breaking the link between the occupied part of mainland Ukraine and Crimea creates serious problems for the Russian war machine, forcing it to restructure delivery schemes for supplies and ammunition.
This incident is not an isolated event. On the night of June 23, drones launched massive strikes on infrastructure facilities in Crimea. Fires broke out on the peninsula, and traffic on the Kerch Bridge was temporarily blocked. Among the damaged facilities were the "Caucasus" port and the oil terminal.
Growth in strike activity against the rear
Analysts are noting a change in the Ukrainian army's tactics. The Institute for the Study of War has recorded a sharp increase in the number and depth of strikes against enemy rear areas. Statistics from recent months speak for themselves: only in May-June 2026, the destruction of more than 500 Russian trucks and vehicles was confirmed.
This trend indicates that Ukrainian forces are increasingly using opportunities to strike the enemy's critical infrastructure and logistics hubs, seeking to disorganize its rear support.
