An incident has occurred in the occupied territory of the Donetsk region, paralyzing movement along one of the key transport arteries. A Russian military column was destroyed on the highway connecting Mariupol and Novoazovsk. This event has led to a complete blockage of the route for traffic.
Information about the incident was confirmed by the head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petr Andryushchenko, in his Telegram channel. According to him, the strike on the column caused a halt in traffic on a section of the road that was previously critical for the movement of equipment and cargo.
Civilian traffic rerouted via detour
Due to the blockage of the main highway, logistics in the occupied territory was forced to seek alternative routes. As Andryushchenko clarified, civilian traffic was officially rerouted through the village of Pikuzi. Instead of the asphalt highway, motorists had to use rural roads, which inevitably slows down processes and creates additional risks.
Experts have obtained photos illustrating the approximate route of movement of occupation forces in the Donetsk region. The visual materials demonstrate the scale of the columns that regularly use these routes to transport resources.
Details of losses and context of strikes
At this time, exact data on Russian losses — both among personnel and in terms of destroyed equipment — remain unknown. However, the very fact of blocking the highway indicates the high effectiveness of the strike on the enemy's communications.
Events in the Donetsk region are taking place against the backdrop of increased activity along the entire front line and in the enemy's rear. Yesterday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a number of strategic objects:
- Hit an enemy command post in the Bryansk region.
- Destroyed a workshop for the production of heavy drones in the Luhansk region.
- Confirmed damage to the "Tamanneftegaz" oil terminal in the Krasnodar Krai.
The economic consequences of strikes on Russian infrastructure are becoming increasingly tangible. According to RBK-Ukraine, after a series of attacks on the Tuapse oil refinery, the port of Tuapse completely stopped oil shipments last month. Losses for the Russian economy are estimated at approximately 20 percent of the total volume of tanker oil supplies.
