In the center of Pokrovsk, which remains one of the key nodes on the front line, Ukrainian defense forces launched a precision strike on a critically important enemy object. The target of the air strike was a position used by Russian occupiers for deploying aerial reconnaissance and launching combat unmanned aerial vehicles.
Destroying Intelligence Infrastructure
According to the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian occupiers turned a building in the city center into a full-fledged hub for sabotage activities. There was a base of an aerial reconnaissance unit, as well as a take-off point for "Molniya" type UAVs.
After the strike, the work of enemy drone units in this direction was significantly complicated. The destruction of the object deprived the enemy of some of the capabilities to collect intelligence and carry out precision strikes on Ukrainian positions.
Tactics of Using Civilian Infrastructure
The Russian army continues to attempt to build up forces in Pokrovsk, trying to support offensive actions in the sector of responsibility of the Air Assault Forces units. One of the priorities of the occupiers remains the expansion of the network of drone control points directly within the city limits.
To camouflage military objects, the enemy cynically uses civilian infrastructure. Launch and control points are moved into residential high-rise buildings, concrete shelters, basements, and building entrances, which creates increased risks for the civilian population and complicates the task of detecting them.
Systematic Fight Against Hidden Targets
Ukrainian military personnel report that they systematically detect and destroy such hidden targets. Despite constant pressure, the defensive operation in Pokrovsk continues. The 7th Air Assault Corps officially refuted rumors of the complete occupation of the city, confirming that Ukrainian units are steadily holding positions on the northern outskirts.
Technological Reinforcement and Joint Operations
To counter enemy assaults, the Defense Forces command is deploying additional technological resources. The 7th Air Assault Corps has joined forces with the well-known 414th Separate Special Purpose Brigade "Madjar's Birds" and the Lasar's Group special unit.
The parties agreed to strengthen counter-battery fire and aerial reconnaissance in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. The joint work of UAV crews is aimed at detecting enemy artillery and drone launch points, which Russian troops are trying to accumulate to support the offensive.
