The star tennis couple — Ukraine's number one ranking Elina Svitolina and her husband, French tennis player Gael Monfils — surprised fans with a new joint project. Instead of their usual courts, the couple chose mini-golf to test their skills in a new discipline and organize a friendly but exciting competition.

The initiative belonged to Gael Monfils, who has recently become seriously interested in golf and views this sport as a new challenge. Deciding to test his wife's level of preparation, he proposed a match. Elina Svitolina accepted the challenge with confidence, stating that she plays golf even better than her husband.

To ensure the game didn't remain just a friendly practice session, the couple made a bet with unusual conditions. Facing high stakes, the athletes agreed on specific punishments for the loser, which were intended to be entertainment for the viewers of their YouTube channel.

Gael Monfils himself announced the rules of the dispute, which were as follows:

  • If Gael loses: he will have to receive his wife's serves using not a racket, but a putting club (putter). Additionally, for every ball he fails to touch, he must perform 10 push-ups.
  • If Elina loses: she will have to run a distance of 100 meters in less than 14 seconds.

The conditions were harsh and required the loser to possess not only physical endurance but also the ability to handle awkward situations on camera. Who exactly won this mini-golf battle, who had to perform the punishment, and whether the loser managed to cope with the tasks set — viewers can see in the published video.

This is not the first time Svitolina and Monfils have demonstrated their skills in public. Previously, the couple has already proven that they are capable of winning at a high level: the spouses won a star tournament in Paris, where they were not even opposed by such world stars as Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.
