Sviatlana Tarabarova and the silver medalist of Junior Eurovision 2025, Sofia Nersesyan, have released a joint song, "Zapletu vinochok." This is reported by Wave RBC.UA, citing the track's premiere on YouTube. The recording is already available on music platforms, and the duo's live performance is scheduled for the final of the National Selection for Junior Eurovision 2026.
From "Motanka" to a duet
According to the artists, the idea for the new collaboration was born during their trip to Junior Eurovision in Georgia. Previously, it was Tarabarova who wrote the song "Motanka" for the young singer, with which Nersesyan took second place at the 2025 contest and won the public vote. Already in Georgia, Sofia asked Sviatlana to write her another, "strong" song, and the artists later decided to perform it together.
The image of the wreath as a talisman
Tarabarova is also the author of "Zapletu vinochok," in which she poured her own experiences as a mother and her wishes for Ukrainian children. "I wanted to weave into it love, protection, a happy fate, and the most important wish for our children — a clean and free sky," the singer said. The song is based on the image of the Ukrainian wreath as a talisman: periwinkle symbolizes fidelity, chamomile — tenderness, the poppy flower — a long life, and the blue ribbons embody a clean and free sky.
Sofia Nersesyan's reaction
The young singer noted that she immediately felt the warmth of the composition. "It is about the happiness that one wants to wish to every child. I am very glad that this time Sviatlana and I are singing together," said Nersesyan. Thus, the track became a continuation of the creative partnership that began with "Motanka."
Live premiere in September
The live premiere of the duo was announced for September 26, 2026: Tarabarova and Nersesyan will perform on the stage of the final of the National Selection for Junior Eurovision 2026. Until then, listeners can familiarize themselves with the recording of "Zapletu vinochok" on music platforms.
