The digital platform 'Dodomu' has launched in test mode — a tool for Ukrainians abroad who are planning to return to their homeland. The project launch was announced at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) in Gdańsk, Poland.
A Tool for Reintegration Planning
The launch of the platform was announced by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Ilona Havronska. The resource was created to help compatriots get comprehensive information about the necessary steps for return and to create a personal reintegration plan.
The website compiles data on available services, employment opportunities, education, and social support awaiting people in Ukraine. The platform is positioned as a navigation center for those who want to return home.
Community "Business Cards"
Special attention on the resource is paid to local integration. A section with "business cards" of communities ready to receive returning citizens has been created. These profiles contain information about local services, infrastructure status, and contacts of responsible persons. The platform also presents information about Unity Centers and Unity Network organizations operating abroad.
The Scale of the Task
The relevance of the project is confirmed by data from the Center for Economic Strategy. According to their estimates, about 5.6 million Ukrainians are currently abroad, and 43% of them plan to return to the country. The platform is designed to facilitate this process, making it more transparent and organized.
It is worth noting that the topic of return is also supported at the international level. In April 2026, a number of EU countries introduced financial assistance programs for Ukrainians who decided to return to their homeland. In particular, Norway offers payments of up to 1,700 euros per person.
