Spring in Ukraine has decided to bid us farewell not with warm sunshine and blooming gardens, but with coolness, rain, and thunderstorms. May 31, the last day of May, promises to be challenging for many regions: the sky will be overcast, and thermometers will show values more typical of April.

Meteorologists warn: moderate short-term rains are expected in the northeastern regions, Zakarpattia, and Prykarpattia. In eastern areas, thunderstorms are possible in some places — and this is not just a forecast, but a real threat for those planning walks or trips to the dacha.

Night and morning fog will envelop the east and northeast of the country, creating a mystical atmosphere but also complicating transportation. The wind will blow predominantly from the northwest, reaching speeds of 5–10 m/s — enough to knock down unstable structures and scatter leaves across the streets.

The temperature outlook is also not encouraging: at night from 4 to 9°C, during the day from 12 to 17°C. An exception — western regions and Odesa Oblast, where it will be warmer at night (8–13°C), and during the day it may even reach 21°C. But precipitation is not ruled out there either.

In Kyiv and the region tomorrow — variable cloudiness and light short-term rain. At night in the capital from 7 to 9°C, during the day from 13 to 15°C. Perfect time to put on a jacket, take an umbrella, and leisurely walk on wet asphalt, enjoying the sound of drops and the smell of earth after rain.

Recall that meteorologists had warned in advance about the cooling and weather change. And they were not mistaken: Ukraine was covered by an atmospheric front, bringing stormy winds, heavy rains, and even hail in some areas. Now, on the last day of spring, nature continues to remind us of its unpredictability.

Meanwhile, meteorologists have already released a preliminary forecast for June. What awaits us at the beginning of summer — heat, drought, or new rains? Stay tuned for updates: the weather in Ukraine is always a surprise.
