The Third Army Corps music label AB3 Music has presented a large-scale and unprecedented hip-hop project titled "Ukrainian People's Radio" (Ukrainske Narodne Radio). This release represents a global conceptual trilogy divided into three full-length albums bearing concise letter designations — "U", "N", and "R".
Scale of Collaboration and Project Creation
More than 50 professional performers, talented beatmakers, and in-demand sound producers from all over Ukraine joined the realization of this large-scale creative endeavor. The overall tracklist of the trilogy includes 30 full-fledged high-quality compositions, as well as 13 special radio jingles that skillfully unite all three records into a single continuous musical broadcast. The meticulous work on this cultural phenomenon took about two years. The main conceptual goal of the creators from AB3 Music was to break down boundaries and unite mainstream artists, underground representatives, civilian musicians, and active military personnel from various regions of the country in a single creative space.
Star Lineup and Voices from the Frontline
Among the participants of the release, listeners can hear recognized stars of the Ukrainian scene such as TNMK, SKOFKA, KALUSH Orchestra, and alyona alyona. In addition, MC Petya, cybermykola, MUCHNOY, loco-flamer, roma mayk, Dlinny Pes, Fray, skalo, and BRATSKE KOLO contributed to the recording, ensuring a diverse sound.Special value is added to the project by compositions created directly by servicemen of the Third Army Corps. ANYMAN, Krov, Yugar, Sidzhik, and MARMEK recorded their tracks, with many of them working on the music right during short breaks between performing complex combat missions on the frontline.
Release Goals and Charitable Component
The authors of the project openly state that one of the key tasks is to create a high-quality and competitive Ukrainian alternative to Russian music, which still continues to penetrate domestic charts. AB3 Music head Ilya Kuchman emphasizes that this album is designed to show the relevance of rap culture in modern realities.
An important aspect of the release is financial support for the army. All participating artists decided to transfer copyright royalties from listening to their compositions to the balance of the AB3 Music label. The funds received will be directed on a regular monthly basis to material support for the needs of the Third Army Corps, continuing the successful practice of "donation tracks" established back in 2024.
