Danger of a repeated strike: Air Force warning
The situation in Ukraine remains tense: Yuriy Ignat, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has warned of a high probability of a repeated massive missile strike by Russia. The statement was made during a TV marathon broadcast and published by RBK-Ukraine.
According to Ignat, the enemy may change tactics and shorten the intervals between attacks. If the previous massive wave occurred on July 2 and the new one on July 6, the next strike could follow as soon as the day after the last attack.
“They may increase the frequency and strike even the next day,” the spokesperson noted. He also emphasized that the adversary is capable of acting faster than before and urged the population to be prepared for any scenario.
Limited capabilities of the adversary
Despite the threat, Ignat pointed out that Russia's resources are not limitless. This means that a certain periodicity between shelling operations still exists, although it may be reduced to a minimum.
It is important to note that during the last attack, the Ukrainian air defense system failed to intercept a single ballistic missile. All ballistic missiles and 'Zircon' hypersonic missiles broke through the defense.
Consequences of the attack in Kyiv
As of now, 14 fatalities have been recorded in the capital of Ukraine as a result of the missile strike. The situation remains critical, and authorities are urging citizens to follow safety rules and be prepared for new attacks.
