Chemical fire and emergency mode in Samara Oblast

On the night of April 4, powerful explosions rocked Tolyatti. The incident was caused by an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles, which resulted in a fire on the territory of the large industrial enterprise "Tolyattikauchuk". At 02:37, the Governor of Samara Oblast, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, declared a "Drone Danger" mode in the region.

The situation in the region is critical: airspace is closed at all altitudes. A special "Carpet" mode has been introduced, which prohibits any flights over the territory of the region. Residents of the city report hearing loud explosions for more than 40 minutes — from the shock wave, glass is cracking in houses and windows are shaking.

What is happening on site?

Messages and video recordings from the scene began to appear on social networks. Users describe thick black plumes of smoke rising over the city. Experts note that such a color of smoke often indicates the destruction of drones in the air or the ignition of equipment.

"Tolyattikauchuk" is a strategically important petrochemical enterprise producing synthetic rubber and components for the tire industry. A fire at such an object always carries increased risks.

Repetition of the scenario

This is not the first attack on the city in recent days. On the night of April 4 in Tolyatti, similar incidents had already occurred: then, after drone strikes, two chemical plants caught fire at once. Local residents again reported the sounds of working engines and explosions in different districts of the city. The repetition of attacks indicates that industrial facilities in the region remain priority targets for sabotage groups.
