In the Thai capital, Bangkok, a large-scale investigation is underway following a horrific fire at a nightclub that claimed dozens of lives. According to the latest data, the number of fatalities in the tragedy at the pub Rong Beer Na Lat Phrao has risen to 30. Three more victims died from burns and injuries, increasing the total from the initially reported 27.

Scale of Human Loss

The situation remains critical. As city officials report, more than 70 people have been hospitalized with various injuries. Of these, 24 patients are in critical condition, fighting for their lives in hospital intensive care units. The fire broke out late Sunday evening at the establishment, located in northern Bangkok, near a popular market.

Investigation into Causes: Blocked Exits

Police have opened a criminal case and are investigating the theory of possible negligence by the venue's owners. Investigators are focusing primarily on the state of the evacuation routes. It was discovered that the emergency exits in the pub were blocked, making it impossible for people to leave quickly when danger arose.

Especially tragically, most of the bodies of the victims were found in the restrooms. These rooms had no windows, turning them into traps for patrons trying to hide from the fire and smoke. Fire services took about half an hour to fully bring the situation under control and extinguish the flames, but by that time, the tragedy had already occurred.
