As a result of the Russian night attack on Dnipro, the number of fatalities has reached 11. Among the victims are two children. Search and rescue operations at the impact sites are ongoing, as rescuers continue to recover bodies from the rubble of partially destroyed buildings.
Alexander Ganja, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported on the latest findings by rescuers. The bodies of a woman and an 8-year-old boy were recovered from the ruins of a partially destroyed four-story building. Earlier, rescuers found the body of another child—a boy born in 2023—under the rubble of the same building.
Among the deceased was also a rescuer—the deputy head of a fire and rescue unit. He died during a second strike on the facility. In total, 37 residents were injured in the attack, four of whom are children. Twenty-two people have been hospitalized, with four in critical condition.
The damage in the city is significant. Multi-story residential buildings—both two-story and four-story—have been partially destroyed. An enterprise and a fire station were also damaged. Garages and vehicles were destroyed.
Search and rescue operations at the impact site continue. Rescuers do not rule out the possibility that people are still trapped under the rubble. Work is being carried out around the clock, despite difficult conditions and the risk of further collapses.
