US President Donald Trump officially announced the achievement of a peace agreement with Iran. In his post on the social network Truth Social, he announced the key consequences of the deal: the unimpeded opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the immediate lifting of the naval blockade by the US Navy.

"Let the Oil Flow"

In his address, Trump called on ships around the world to start their engines, noting that the agreement has already entered into force. "Congratulations to everyone! I hereby fully sanction the unimpeded opening of the Strait of Hormuz and simultaneously sanction the immediate lifting of the naval blockade by the US Navy. Ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil flow!", wrote the American leader.

Confirmation from Pakistan

News of the conclusion of peace was also confirmed by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. A few minutes before Trump's publication, he reported on the social network X that, following intense negotiations, the US and Iran had reached a peace agreement.

According to Sharif, both sides declared an immediate and final cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon. The official signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 19, and will take place in Switzerland.

Deal Details and Context

The Pakistani Prime Minister added that this week mediators will hold a series of meetings that will lay the foundation for technical negotiations and the final ceremony. Earlier, one of the Iranian officials revealed details of the deal, according to which Iran undertakes not to possess nuclear weapons.

It is worth noting that less than a day ago, Trump criticized Israel for striking Lebanon, which occurred at a time when the parties were already supposed to conclude a deal. Now, according to the leaders' statements, the region is moving to the phase of peace negotiations and the lifting of restrictions.
