Amidst heated discussions regarding the state of the US economy and the personal assets of the head of state, US President Donald Trump made an unexpected statement about his financial situation. While speaking to the press at Joint Base Andrews, preparing to fly to North Dakota, the country's leader stated that he has no involvement in managing his personal finances.

"Funds manage my money"

Responding to journalists' questions, Trump emphasized his passive role in the family's financial operations. "I don't interfere... We have funds that manage my money," the president said. According to him, the reason for the enrichment of many Americans, including himself, lies in the general growth of the stock market, which brings profit to all participants in the system.

However, the president's words about non-interference stand in clear contradiction to the data presented in official documents. The president's annual declaration for 2025, filed with the Office of Government Ethics, revealed details of his company's income. The document showed a profit of nearly $800 million obtained from World Liberty Financial — a cryptocurrency venture co-founded by Donald Trump's sons.

Crypto assets as the main source of income

The financial picture becomes even more contrasting when considering that the day before, on July 1, Trump reported a profit of more than $1.4 billion obtained from various cryptocurrency projects of his family. Thus, the lion's share of the head of state's total income in the current reporting period comes precisely from digital assets.

The Trump family's total capital is currently estimated at approximately $6.8 billion. Notably, the sharp rise in income from the crypto industry has allowed for a partial offset of the decline in the market value of Trump Media & Technology Group — the parent company of the social network Truth Social.

"Bitcoin Superpower" Strategy

Despite statements that he does not manage money, Trump is actively promoting the agenda of developing the crypto industry at the state level. The President expressed his intention to turn the US into a "bitcoin superpower" and a global crypto capital. According to the head of the White House, the country's strategic goal is to outpace China in the field of digital finance and technology.
