US President Donald Trump announced a historic agreement with Iran, under which Tehran will completely abandon the development and procurement of nuclear weapons. As reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the leader's post on Truth Social, the document could be signed as early as tomorrow.
"A Wall of No Nuclear Weapons"
According to Trump, the new agreement will serve as an insurmountable barrier to Iran's path to creating a nuclear arsenal. The American leader emphasized the key difference between this document and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) concluded under Barack Obama: the new deal provides for no financial payments to Tehran.
"My deal with Iran is the complete opposite, a wall of no nuclear weapons! In fact, they no longer want to have nuclear weapons and will not have them, neither by purchase nor by development," the president stated.
Opening of the Strait of Hormuz and Disposal of Materials
Trump added that immediately after the official signing of the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be fully open to all vessels, which will be an important step for world trade. Furthermore, the US plans to deploy its B-2 strategic bombers to completely dispose of Iranian nuclear materials, which, according to intelligence data, are hidden under mountains.
Diplomatic Breakthrough Amidst Military Tensions
The negotiation process between Washington and Tehran reached the final stage in the first half of June 2026. According to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose country acted as a mediator, the text of the peace agreement is already fully ready. Earlier, Trump reported that the signing would take place over the coming weekend in Europe, as both sides are interested in a quick result.
The diplomatic success was achieved against the backdrop of serious military tension. The US was secretly preparing an operation to seize Iran's enriched uranium, but Trump canceled the plan following a warning from the military command. The Pentagon was developing a ground operation involving special forces to extract nuclear materials from the underground tunnels of Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. However, the American leader halted the mission preparation due to extreme risks for soldiers and the threat of massive destabilization of the global economy, making the final choice in favor of diplomacy.
Trump expressed hope for the rapid implementation of the agreements but warned that Washington has a "better alternative" in case the deal falls through.
