The process is underway, but it is not easy
According to Trump, work on the document has been ongoing for a long time. He admitted that the process is fraught with difficulties and contradictions. "This agreement has been in the works for a long time, it has its pros and cons," noted the White House chief, emphasizing the complexity of reaching a consensus.
The 'fight in the park' metaphor
Describing the nature of the conflict, Trump used a vivid and simple analogy. He compared the war in Ukraine to a "fight between two people in a park." This comparison is intended to reflect his view of the situation as a local conflict requiring intervention and the cessation of violence, while maintaining a certain specificity in diplomatic resolution.
Summit agenda: from peace to defense
The topic of the peace agreement was not the only one on the NATO summit agenda. The meeting also addressed critically important security issues, in particular, the supply of air defense systems to Ukraine. Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that one of the key results of the summit should be obtaining licenses to produce Patriot surface-to-air missile systems.
