New series of strikes on enemy rear areas
Ukrainian defense forces carried out a series of attacks on key objects of Russian occupation troops between June 8 and the night of June 9. According to information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published by RBC-Ukraine, strikes were launched against a wide range of targets: from ammunition depots to command posts and troop concentration areas.
Particular attention was paid to objects in the border regions of Russia. In particular, an ammunition depot was hit in the Prokhorovka area of the Belgorod region. Command posts in the Naumovka area in the same region and in the Iskra area of the Kursk region were also targeted.
Attacks on command centers and logistics
In the combat zone on Ukrainian territory, Ukrainian troops successfully struck a number of strategic enemy objects. In the Donetsk region, strikes were launched against command posts in the Nikolske and Shevchenko Perve areas. In the latter area, as well as in the Zaliznychna area (Zaporizhzhia region) and Oleksandriia (Kherson region), enemy drone control posts were destroyed.
The enemy's logistics network also suffered losses. A logistics hub was hit in the Fedorivka area of the Donetsk region. In addition, material and technical supply depots were targeted in the Mykhailivka area (Luhansk region) and Hynivka (Zaporizhzhia region).
Strikes on personnel and clarification of data on Mariupol
The General Staff confirmed strikes on Russian troop concentration areas. Targets included the Kurakhove, Kalynove, Shevchenko, and Stupochky areas in the Donetsk region, as well as Novohryhorivka in the Zaporizhzhia region and Iskra in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
Separately, the General Staff clarified the results of the attack carried out on June 5 on the Mariupol port area. According to updated data, eight fuel storage tanks were destroyed as a result of the strike, and another nine were damaged.
«Ukrainian defense forces will continue to systematically reduce the capabilities of the Russian aggressor to wage war against Ukraine», — the General Staff stated.
Reaction in the border region
Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported an explosion and subsequent detonation at an ammunition depot in the area of the village of Belovskoye in the Belgorod region. Local residents described thick smoke over the object and reported damage to residential and administrative buildings located nearby.
