Polish business is ready to work in Ukraine
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held talks with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. As a result of the meeting, the Ukrainian leader noted that Polish companies are showing high interest in the country's reconstruction projects. According to Svyrydenko, Polish entrepreneurs are ready to actively engage in the implementation of these plans.
The head of the Ukrainian government emphasized that the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference is being held at a high level of preparation and organization. She also pointed out the existence of many common topics and challenges that unite Kyiv and Warsaw today.
Special attention during the dialogue was paid to energy security. The parties discussed deepening interaction between key companies of the two markets and the development of new economic projects.
Energy challenge and preparation for winter
The topic of energy remains critically important for Ukraine. Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal previously warned that the upcoming heating season will be extremely difficult. According to him, regardless of the situation with hostilities, the coming cold will require the mobilization of efforts from every citizen.
The government, together with international partners, is already developing a plan to restore generation and protect infrastructure facilities to minimize risks during the winter period.
Billion-dollar support from the World Bank
To ensure the country's financial stability in wartime, Ukraine signed a large-scale agreement with the World Bank. The total amount of aid is $3.39 billion. These funds will be used to cover the state budget deficit.
To receive funding, Kyiv met a number of important structural conditions. Among the key requirements was the integration of the Ukrainian energy market with the European one, which opens new horizons for cooperation with partners such as Poland.
