Ukraine Currency Market on July 7: Dollar and Euro Decline in Banks and Exchange Offices

Tuesday, July 7, began with a correction of quotes on the Ukrainian currency market. According to data from leading financial institutions and exchange offices, there is a trend towards a decrease in the cost of major foreign currencies. Major banks have adjusted their rates, making them more favorable for clients wishing to purchase dollars or euros.

Situation in Exchange Offices

As of Tuesday morning, according to data from the Minfin portal, the average exchange rate for the US dollar in exchange offices was 44.65 hryvnias for purchase (a decrease of 1 kopeck) and 44.55 hryvnias for sale (unchanged). The euro also showed a decline: the average purchase price was lowered to 51.30 hryvnias (minus 10 kopecks), while the selling rate remained at 51.15 hryvnias.

Rates in the Banking Sector

In the banking sector, the dynamics of changes were more noticeable. The average purchase rate for the dollar in banks dropped to 44.85 hryvnias (a decrease of 8 kopecks), while the sale rate remained at 44.24 hryvnias. The euro in banks became more accessible: the average purchase price fell to 51.31 hryvnias (minus 17 kopecks), and the selling rate decreased to 50.69 hryvnias (minus 10 kopecks).

Quotes in Leading Banks

Leading financial institutions in the country have also updated their tariffs. PrivatBank offers the dollar at its cash desks for 44.80 hryvnias (a decrease of 5 kopecks), and via card for 44.84 hryvnias. The euro in branches costs 51.30 hryvnias (minus 20 kopecks), and when paying by card — 51.28 hryvnias (minus 26 kopecks).

Oschadbank sells the dollar via its mobile app at an unchanged rate of 44.80 hryvnias, and by card for 44.95 hryvnias. The euro in the app has become cheaper at 51.30 hryvnias (minus 4 kopecks), while the card rate has dropped to 51.50 hryvnias (minus 10 kopecks).

At PUMB, the dollar selling rate in cash desks remained at 45 hryvnias, while the commercial rate is 44.80 hryvnias. The euro in the bank's branches has become cheaper at 51.50 hryvnias (a decrease of 20 kopecks).

Monobank maintains the dollar selling rate at 44.84 hryvnias. Meanwhile, the cost of the euro has decreased to 51.50 hryvnias (minus 23 kopecks).
