On the night of June 27, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a large-scale series of strikes against strategic targets deep within Russian territory. The focus of the attacks was on defense enterprises, logistics hubs, and command centers critical to conducting military operations. The most significant event of the night was the strike on the 'Titan-Barrikady' plant in Volgograd.

Strike on the Defense Giant in Volgograd

As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported in his Telegram channel, FP-5 'Flamingo' missiles were used against the 'Titan-Barrikady' enterprise. A direct hit was recorded, followed by a fire on the plant's territory. Zelenskyy emphasized that every Russian defense facility working towards the war against Ukraine is a legitimate target for long-range sanctions.

'Titan-Barrikady' is a major industrial complex producing artillery systems and specialized military equipment. Specifically, elements of missile launchers used to strike Ukrainian cities are manufactured there. The President thanked Ukrainian engineers and soldiers for ensuring the range of these strikes, noting that such pressure lays the foundation for a future dignified peace.

Strikes in Crimea and on the Border

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) confirmed that strikes were not limited to Volgograd. Two key targets were hit in Crimea:

  • A 'Pantsir-S1' anti-aircraft missile and gun system was destroyed in Feodosia.

This facility is part of the JSC 'Transneft-Upper Volga' structure and is a critical logistics hub. The station facilitates the transportation of diesel fuel to the Moscow ring oil product pipeline, from which fuel is distributed to major depots around the capital. The 'Vtorovo' OPS also supports oil product export supplies through Baltic Sea ports.
