In the coming days, the weather in Ukraine promises to be truly contrasting: part of the country will feel an early autumn cooling, while in other regions the sun may shine with values close to summer levels. RBC-Ukraine reports this, citing a post by meteorologist and forecaster Nataliya Didenko, as well as clarifications from the press service of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. According to the expert, the key factor is the passage of a cold atmospheric front, which moves across the country from west to east and north, dividing it into two temperature zones.

Cold front in the west and north

The coolest Friday, September 11, will be in the western regions of Ukraine, where the maximum daytime temperature, according to Didenko's assessment, will be "very modest." The air will also become fresher in the northern regions: there, daytime values, according to the forecaster, will range between 19 and 23 degrees Celsius. The meteorologist explains this cooling precisely by the cold atmospheric front. Precipitation is expected on Friday in the western regions, and on the following day — Saturday, September 12 — rain will spread to the north and parts of the central regions as well.

Summer will continue in the south and east

Meanwhile, on the "rest of Ukraine's territory," high daytime temperatures will still hold on Friday. According to Didenko's forecast, the weather will even out by Sunday, September 13: in the west, north, and central regions, the maximum temperature will rise to +20...+24°C, while in the south, east, and Dnipropetrovsk region, summer will continue — around +25...+30°C is expected. Thus, on the same day, the temperature difference in different parts of the country can reach tens of degrees.

Kyiv and the weekend: what to expect for city residents

In Kyiv, on Friday, September 11, the weather, according to the forecaster, will be "comfortable," and no significant precipitation is expected. At the same time, Didenko specifically warned those who plan to leave the city over the weekend: the weather in the near future is expected to be changeable, atmospheric pressure will "fluctuate," and air temperature will vary over a wide range — from +30°C to +15°C. Such a spread, according to her, requires increased attention to one's own well-being.

There are minor discrepancies in the publications of different media outlets regarding exactly how and when the weather contrast is observed. RBC-Ukraine, relying on Didenko's detailed analysis, centers the cooling on Friday, September 11, and links it to the passage of the cold front precisely on that day.
