The Ukrainian national cheerleading team completed the European Championship held in Greece with the best result in the medal standings: the national team earned seven awards, securing first place in the overall team standings of the continental championship. This was reported by Sport RBC.UA, citing the Cheerleading Federation of Ukraine. For the Ukrainian cheerleading school, this result confirmed the consistently high level of training of its duos across several disciplines, ranging from classic pom-cheerleading to hip-hop.

A fourth "gold" for the flagship duo

The highlight of the Ukrainian performance was the fourth consecutive "gold" at the continental championships in the adult "cheer pom" category. Anastasia-Anna Maloshenko and Yelyzaveta Tymofyeyeva became European champions, proving for the fourth time in a row their status as one of the continent's strongest pairs in this discipline. Repeating such a result over several years is a rarity for pair sports and testifies to the systematic work of the coaches and the athletes' consistent form.

Youth duos and bronze in pom-cheerleading

In the same "cheer pom" category, but among youth, Polina Zlenko and Arina Zhukova won, adding a second gold medal for the national team. A third medal in this discipline was brought by Alina Veremiienko and Polina Kryzhanovska, who won bronze. Thus, in classic pom-cheerleading, Ukrainian duos occupied all three steps of the podium across two age categories.

Hip-hop: gold for juniors, silver and bronze for youth

In hip-hop among juniors, Kateryna Shpuk and Khrystyna Padko became European champions, while Kateryna Doharieva and Daria Repey took bronze in the same category. In the youth hip-hop category, Ukrainians also secured two awards: Marta Tuchak and Mariana Shpykula took silver, while the duo of Andrii Synytsia and Uliana Bidash won bronze. In total, across all disciplines, the Ukrainian pairs collected seven medals — two golds, two silvers, and three bronzes.

First place overall and the season's context

The final first place in the overall medal standings of the European Championship in Greece confirmed Ukraine's leadership on the continent in pair cheerleading disciplines. The result was achieved through a wide coverage of categories: the team competed in adult, youth, and junior divisions, in both pom-cheerleading and hip-hop. Earlier in the season, Ukrainian cheerleaders also demonstrated high results at international events, making the Greek championship a logical continuation of a successful series of performances.
