The main event of the tournament's opening stage will be the internal confrontation between Elina Svetolina and Daria Snigur. The official tournament website has confirmed these pairings, reports RBC-Ukraine.

The match between Svetolina and Snigur will become the central event of the first round for the Ukrainian team. For Elina, this Wimbledon will be her 12th in her career, highlighting her status as an experienced participant. Daria Snigur, however, will compete in the main draw of a "Grand Slam" for the second time. Notably, the tennis players have not yet met in official matches up to today, which adds intrigue to the upcoming clash.

Intrigue surrounding Marta Kostiuk

Special attention is focused on Marta Kostiuk's path. After a successful clay court season, the tennis player will attempt to update her personal record at the British "major," where she has previously not advanced beyond the third round. The draw has prepared potentially complex scenarios for her:

  • In the event of success, Kostiuk and Starodubtseva could meet each other as early as the second or third round.
