Attack on the 'Shadow Fleet': How Ukrainian Drones Destroyed 13 Ships and 41 Military Targets Overnight

Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) carried out a large-scale operation on the night of July 10, striking the enemy's critical infrastructure and fleet. USF Commander Robert "Madjar" Brovdy reported the destruction of 13 vessels of the Russian "shadow fleet" approaching occupied Crimea.

Strike on the 'Shadow Fleet'

According to command data, 10 tankers, one cargo ship, a ferry, and a sea tug were destroyed or damaged in a single night. All damaged tankers were identified as vessels belonging to the Russian "shadow fleet" and subject to international sanctions.

"Madjar" noted that the total count of the campaign to destroy vessels reached 48 units over the last five days. The commander commented on the success of the operation with the phrase: "The fleet is systematically anorexic," and added a sarcastic remark to Russian logisticians: "I have a dilemma: sending a tanker to Crimea, does the worm harden courage or folly?".

Project 'Crimean Switch Off'

Parallel to the attacks on ships, the USF implemented the "Crimean Switch Off" project. As part of this operation, drones struck five substations, dealing a blow to the peninsula's energy system.

These attacks continued the campaign started on July 7. Then, the "Birds of the USF" destroyed the first 8 tankers, a cargo ship, and a ferry in the Sea of Azov. The following night, July 8, another 9 tankers and the key energy bridge object "Kuban-Crimea," which supplies electricity from mainland Russia, were hit. In total, during the first week of July, Ukrainian drones destroyed 37 energy facilities in Crimea and on the southern occupied territories.

Daily Results: 1660 Targets

On the night of July 10, Ukrainian forces struck not only the fleet and energy sector. In the operational depth in Crimea and on the southern occupied territories, 41 military targets were hit. In the tactical depth, 426 enemy servicemen were eliminated over the course of the day.

In total, over the course of the day, the Unmanned Systems Forces eliminated 1660 hostile targets, demonstrating the high effectiveness of drone use in modern warfare.
