A significant loss has occurred within the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: Senior Lieutenant Naran Ochir-Goryaev, who recently received the title of Hero of Russia, has been eliminated. This was officially announced by the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, in his Telegram channel.
According to the Ukrainian side, Ochir-Goryaev was destroyed by a drone strike launched by pilots of the 20th Separate Battalion of Unmanned Systems Forces "K-2". To confirm his words, "Madyar" published a video recording of the elimination, noting that this was one of the key participants in the storming of the city of Seversk in the Donetsk region.
"Liberator" of Seversk and the Report to Putin
Robert Brovdi used ironic epithets in his message, calling the deceased the "liberator" of Seversk, who personally reported on the course of the fighting to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. A military expert and journalist from RBK-Ukraine, citing the commander's statement, confirmed the identity of the deceased.
Naran Ochir-Goryaev served in the 6th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade. It was for leading storming operations during the capture of Seversk that he was awarded the highest degree of distinction in Russia. In December 2025, the officer personally reported to the head of state about the situation on the front. Just a few days after this meeting, Ochir-Goryaev was awarded the "Gold Star" medal, awarded to Heroes of Russia.
A Series of Losses Among Russian Officers
The death of Ochir-Goryaev is not an isolated incident in a series of recent events. In recent days, there has been an increase in the number of incidents related to the death of high-ranking Russian military personnel.
Thus, on June 9, a BMW X3 car exploded in the Moscow region city of Balashikha. According to Russian media, the driver died at the scene. Although the official authorities of the Russian Federation did not reveal the identity of the deceased, a number of sources hastened to suggest that the victim could be a 62-year-old Lieutenant General of the Russian Army. These incidents indicate that the threat to the command staff of the Russian army remains not only on the front line but also in the rear regions.
