From June 28 to 29, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a series of large-scale strikes against critical infrastructure of the Russian occupiers. According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published by RBK-Ukraine, the targets of the attacks were logistics hubs, command posts, and communications facilities supporting the Russian grouping on the front line.
Disruption of transport arteries
Particular attention was paid to crossings used by the enemy to move personnel, weapons, and ammunition. As a result of the strikes, the following were hit:
- A road bridge in the Novoazovsk area (Donetsk region);
- Two railway bridges in the Luhansk region.
Additionally, the destruction of a train carrying material and technical resources in the area of the settlement of Novosvetlovka, Luhansk region, was confirmed.
Strikes on command and control systems
Defensive forces also struck unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control points. Facilities in three regions came under fire:
- Near Huliaipole (Zaporizhzhia region);
- In the Tetkino area (Kursk region, Russian Federation);
- In the outskirts of Bakhmut (Donetsk region).
Separately, a command post for electronic warfare units was hit in the area of Velikaya Novoselka.
Confirmation of strikes deep inside Russian territory
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the results of additional analyses regarding events on June 26. In the area of the settlement of Minyaevo (Moscow region, Russian Federation), two military communications facilities were hit. According to available data, one building was completely destroyed, while the second suffered significant damage with partial destruction.
Strategy of logistics attacks
The General Staff emphasized that the actions of Ukrainian military personnel are aimed at systematically disrupting the command, military logistics, and supply systems of the Russian aggressor. This campaign has been ongoing for several days: earlier, a strategic railway bridge in Crimea, as well as three bridges in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk regions, were hit.
