The Ukrainian gaming industry is approaching the release of one of the most anticipated atmospheric projects. The team at Dream Operator studio has officially announced that the production of the adventure puzzle game 'Tukoni: Forest Keepers' has entered its final phase. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement from the developers on the social network X.
Final Development Stage and Release Dates
According to the studio, the game is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2026. Currently, the entire development team is focused on the technical polishing of the product. Main efforts are directed towards fixing remaining bugs, final gameplay balancing, and detailing the virtual world.
Special attention is being paid to creating the atmosphere of a fairy-tale forest. Interactive flying insects are being integrated into the game to enhance the immersion in the ecology. Additionally, original hidden achievements have been prepared for the most attentive players.
From Picture Books to a Gaming Universe
'Tukoni: Forest Keepers' is a cozy adventure puzzle game based on the text and visuals of the famous picture books by Ukrainian writer and artist Oksana Bula. The game designer for the project is Alexey Furman.
The project represents the development of a franchise that began its journey in 2020 with the release of the free short game 'Tukoni: Prologue'. The first part received extremely positive reviews from users on the Steam platform, which became the foundation for creating a large-scale sequel.
International Recognition
Although the full game has not yet been released for sale, the project has already received serious international awards. At the end of 2025, at the DevGAMM Awards ceremony in Lisbon, 'Tukoni: Forest Keepers' was awarded the prestigious Excellence in Visual Art prize for best visual art.
