In Odesa, the aftermath of the Russian attack has also affected the business sector: according to a statement by Mercedes-Benz, cited by RBC-Ukraine, part of the UKRAVTO facility, which brings together several automotive brands, was damaged as a result of the strike. The corporation's statement came against the backdrop of a series of attacks on Odesa Oblast, which continued through the night and morning of recent days and caused damage to both civilian and logistical infrastructure in the region.

What is known about the damage to the auto center

Mercedes-Benz clarified that the damage affects part of the facility, but the company is not disclosing the full list of destruction or specifying the scale of the damage. According to the publication, the attack hit a site within the UKRAVTO structure in Odesa, which is precisely what the corporation confirms in its statement. Specific technical details about which exact premises or workshops were affected are not provided in the public message.

Car showrooms and service centers are operating normally

Despite the damage to part of the facility, the company emphasizes the continuity of its operations: the showrooms of the Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Ducati and Maserati brands continue to operate in normal mode. Similarly, the multi-brand service areas and the separate Mercedes-Benz service are functioning. For customers, the corporation has published up-to-date contacts for the sales and service departments so that buyers and car owners can book maintenance without delays.

Timeline of strikes on Odesa

The context for the company's statement is set by a series of attacks on the region. On the evening of September 12, Russia struck a logistical infrastructure facility in Odesa Oblast: as a result, two people were injured, and a building and a cargo truck were damaged. On the morning of September 13, Russia attacked Odesa again — according to preliminary data, the shelling damaged multi-story residential buildings, private structures and other civilian objects, with the number of casualties preliminarily estimated at 20. It was during this period, according to Mercedes-Benz, that the damage to the UKRAVTO auto center was recorded.

The threat of new attacks remains

Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that the enemy is preparing a new wave of strikes on Ukraine along several directions simultaneously. According to him, at the time of the statement, a drone strike on Odesa Oblast was already underway, and the threat remained for other regions as well. This means that even restoration work at the damaged enterprises, including the UKRAVTO auto center, may be carried out under conditions of ongoing danger.
