Well-known Ukrainian soldier Valeriy Markus shared important personal news with his followers. On his 33rd birthday, celebrated on July 14, the defender of Ukraine announced that he has become a father for the first time.
A symbolic addition to the family
The joyful event took place on a date that is itself significant for the serviceman. Markus did not hide the details from his fans, posting a photo on social media where he poses in military uniform with a broad smile. Despite the joy of the moment, the soldier did not reveal other details about the child's birth, including the baby's gender or name.
The publication sparked a storm of reactions online: followers showered Valeriy with congratulations, noting the importance of this event in the context of the current war.
A love story and the mystery of the fiancée
Markus's marital status became known to the public back in October 2025. At that time, he announced that he had been officially married for three years. However, the celebration was delayed: the wedding festivities had to be postponed, and the soldier was only able to participate during his leave.
"During my leave, I participated in my own wedding. After three years of marriage. I liked it," Markus wrote with humor in one of his posts. At the same time, the identity of his wife remains a secret, and the soldier does not reveal information about her.
From ATO to intelligence services
Valeriy Markus has a rich combat record. He began defending Ukraine during the ATO period, and after the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For some time, he held the position of senior sergeant in the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura".
In April of this year, Markus hinted at a change of service location, stating that he is now serving in the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Thus, becoming a father has become a new stage for him against the backdrop of continuing active service for the benefit of the country.
