Life in the capital for a large family is always a balance between income and expenses, which often turns out to be a complex equation. People's Artist of Ukraine Viktor Pavlyk, in a recent interview with blogger Angelina Pychyk (the material was published by RBC-Ukraine), openly discussed the financial side of daily life, naming specific figures necessary for a comfortable existence in Kyiv.

The Minimum for One and the Reality for a Family

The singer, whose career spans more than 30 years, is convinced that a comfortable life in the Ukrainian capital is impossible for one person without a budget of one thousand dollars a month. Converted to the national currency, this amounts to about 44,000 hryvnias. According to the artist, this is the basic threshold below which one should not go.

However, the situation changes drastically when it comes to a family. Pavlyk admitted that his personal expenses are twice the stated minimum. Monthly, about 100,000 hryvnias are spent on the family's basic needs. The artist detailed the structure of these expenses, showing exactly where the money goes in the metropolis.

Family Budget Structure

Viktor Pavlyk did not hide that a significant part of the budget goes to ensuring the comfort of his loved ones. Here are the main expense items he highlighted:

  • Rent for relatives: Pavlyk, together with his wife Kateryna Repyakova, pays for a rented apartment for his mother-in-law. This service costs the family 20,000 hryvnias monthly.
  • Parking: The family has two cars, and maintaining parking spaces in Kyiv costs 14,000 hryvnias a month.
  • Children's education: The largest expense item is the kindergarten for his son, Mykhailo. The family pays 27,000 hryvnias for attending the institution.

In addition to these fixed payments, the artist also accounts for expenses on fuel and daily needs, which inevitably arise in the rhythm of a big city.

Personal Life and Career

Viktor Pavlyk remains one of the most recognizable performers on the Ukrainian stage. Over the decades of his work, he has given the audience hits like "Shykidydim", "Ni obitsianok, ni probachenn", and "Ty podobayeshya meni". Despite his solid experience, the singer continues to actively tour and work on new compositions.

In his personal life, the artist has been accompanied by Kateryna Repyakova for about ten years. The couple officially registered their relationship in 2020, and shortly thereafter, their son Mykhailo was born. Despite the 28-year age difference, the spouses emphasize that this has never been an obstacle to their love. Kateryna performs the role not only of a wife but also of a concert director, organizing performances and accompanying her husband in creative projects.
