Famous Ukrainian TV host Vyacheslav Solomka revealed his plans for the summer season in an exclusive comment to RBK-Ukraine LIFE and explained why a vacation abroad is not currently a priority for him. Despite having the opportunity to leave the country, the showman is betting on work and providing information support to society.

Work Instead of Rest

Solomka confirmed that technically he can travel, however, the situation in the country dictates its own conditions. According to the host, his main plan for the summer is work. "My first plan is work, work, and work again, because the situation is tense, and people need up-to-date information. Honestly, right now it's not about vacations," the TV host noted.

View on Life Without War

Nevertheless, the possibility of seeing life in peacetime remains important for Solomka. He recalled that last year he stayed in Spain with a close friend and his family, who left Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. "They kindly hosted me for a week. This year, maybe I'll get lucky and be able to visit for a few days at least, to see how people live without war," the showman added.

Why He Is Not Serving in the Army

Vyacheslav Solomka previously explained that he cannot serve in the army due to serious health problems. Thanks to this, he legally has the right to leave Ukraine without special permission from mobilization authorities. The host clarified that he has several chronic illnesses that make military service impossible.

In 2017, Solomka was diagnosed with a brain tumor, due to which he constantly takes appropriate medication. This condition requires constant monitoring and treatment, which excludes the possibility of military service.

Relevance of Information in Wartime

For Solomka, working in wartime is not just a profession, but a way to help people stay informed and not lose touch with reality. His position reflects the general atmosphere in society, where many postpone personal plans to support the country and its citizens.
