In a recent interview with Sky News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined the key principles of Kyiv's current strategy regarding the Russian Federation. The head of state emphasized the need to demonstrate the Ukrainian army's ability to strike deep into enemy territory, changing the psychological mindset of the population in Russian cities.

The psychology of war and strikes on the rear

Zelenskyy stated that the actions of Ukrainian drones are intended to show the residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg the reality of what is happening. According to him, people in these cities live without thinking about what is going on, and Ukraine is trying to convey to them that the war will return to the territory from which it began. The President emphasized that Kyiv does not intend to "die silently" but will respond to the enemy's actions, becoming stronger with each day.

Proposal for a meeting and "freezing" the conflict

Particular attention was paid to the diplomatic aspect. Zelenskyy called on Vladimir Putin to respond to the previously sent open letter, noting that the proposal for a meeting is still in force. In the context of ways to resolve the situation, the President of Ukraine expressed the opinion that freezing the conflict is the fastest way to achieve peace with the Russian Federation.
