Ukrainians should prepare umbrellas and raincoats: the coming week will bring radical changes to weather conditions. After several days of scorching heat, forecasters promise a shift in the climatic background to a cooler and rainier one.
According to a forecast by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, published by RBC-Ukraine, air temperatures will begin to drop, and the sky will be covered with clouds. The weather will become changeable, with frequent precipitation and thunderstorms.
Monday: the beginning of changes
The weather change will begin as early as Monday, July 6. On this day, variable cloudiness is expected throughout the country. However, in the northeast of Ukraine, precipitation will become a common phenomenon. Short-term rains accompanied by thunderstorms are forecast in some areas.
The wind forecast deserves special attention. It will be predominantly westerly, with speeds of 7-12 m/s. However, residents of the northern part of the country should be especially cautious: strong gusts of wind reaching 15-20 m/s are expected during the day.
Tuesday and Friday: rains will capture new regions
Weather anomalies will not end at the beginning of the week. On Tuesday, July 7, rains will shift to the western and central regions. Forecasters warn that precipitation will be persistent.
In addition, a repeat surge in atmospheric front activity is expected on Friday, July 10. On this day, light rain will pass across almost the entire territory of Ukraine, ending the series of hot days.
Forecasters' recommendations
Experts note that the heat in the country is gradually subsiding. The current week will be a period of radical changes. Residents are advised to follow forecast updates, especially on days when thunderstorms and gusty winds are expected, and to have rain protection with them.
