Ukrainians are preparing for another weather turn: the heat that has been keeping many regions on edge is finally receding. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center forecasts unstable weather with rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds for tomorrow, July 6. This will continue the cooling trend previously warned about by meteorologists.

What forecasters predict for July 6

According to data published by RBC-Ukraine, the weather in the country will vary by region. Today, July 5, variable cloudiness is expected, but tonight and tomorrow during the day will bring precipitation.

Short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in the following locations:

  • Night: western regions, northern districts of Vinnytsia and Cherkasy oblasts.
  • Day: locally across all of Ukraine, and widespread in the northeast.

Wind and temperature regime

Special attention should be paid to the wind. It will be predominantly westerly with speeds of 7–12 m/s. However, during the day in the northern part of the country, forecasters warn of possible gusts up to 15–20 m/s, which will require citizens to exercise caution on the streets.

The temperature background will also change:

  • Night: from 11 to 16 degrees Celsius, on the seacoasts — from 15 to 20 degrees.
  • Day: in most regions, thermometers will show 20–25 degrees. It will be warmer in the south and southeast of the country — from 24 to 29 degrees.

Weather in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast

The capital and the region are also falling into the zone of unstable weather. In Kyiv and the region tomorrow, variable cloudiness is expected. Locally, short-term rain is forecast, and thunderstorms are possible across the region.

The temperature regime in the region will be as follows:

  • Kyiv: night 13–15 °C, day 22–24 °C.
  • Kyiv Oblast: night 11–16 °C, day 20–25 °C.

Thus, July 6 will be a day when Ukrainians will have to be ready for sharp weather fluctuations. Umbrellas and windproof clothing will become necessary accessories for walks, especially in the northern and central regions of the country.
