Comfortable weather and local precipitation
On June 17, abnormal heat is not expected in Ukraine. Meteorologist Natalia Didenko, whose forecasts are cited by RBK-Ukraine, reports that air temperatures will remain within comfortable limits throughout the country. Instead of scorching sun, residents of many regions will be met with rain and thunderstorms.
During the day, the air will warm up to +20...+24 degrees. It will be slightly warmer in the south, southeast, and Dnipropetrovsk region — there, thermometer readings may rise to +23...+26 degrees.
Where will it rain?
Precipitation will be distributed unevenly. Rain is likely mainly in the western regions, with the exception of Rivne and Volyn, as well as in the central part of the country. On the rest of the territory, significant precipitation is not forecasted, although light rain is possible in some places.
Significant precipitation is not expected in Kyiv. The daytime air temperature will be +20...+22 degrees.
Trends for the end of the week
According to Didenko's forecast, in the coming days, air temperatures will undergo minor fluctuations with a tendency to rise by the end of the week.
Climate contrasts
Climatic changes in Ukraine are becoming increasingly noticeable. They manifest not only in warmer winters and hot summers but also in more frequent weather contrasts — droughts, downpours, and floods. Meteorologists note that currently, a monthly norm of precipitation can fall within a few hours, after which there may be no rain for weeks.
Previously, RBK-Ukraine wrote about a phenomenon in the capital when the sky over Kyiv resembled scenes from an apocalyptic film. In addition, recently experts explained exactly how weather forecasts are compiled and on what data modern meteorologists base their work.
