A significant demographic shift among drivers is being recorded in the Ukrainian taxi market. Representatives of the Bolt service reported that over the last year, the number of women working on the platform has increased by 2.5 to 3 times. This is not just a statistical anomaly, but a reflection of real changes in the employment structure and the mindset of potential employees.

Growth factors and company strategy

Sergey Pavlik, General Manager of Bolt in Ukraine, explained the reasons for this surge in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. The expert notes that the process is driven by two key factors: the general transformation of the labor market and the targeted efforts of the company itself.

The service and its partners — car fleets — have intensified efforts to attract women to the profession. The results did not take long to appear: partner companies note that female drivers often demonstrate a high level of responsibility and service quality, which directly affects customer satisfaction.

Women in the courier service

The trend of feminization in the service sector is spreading not only to taxis but also to food delivery. Vyacheslav Levchenko, General Manager of Bolt Food in Ukraine, confirmed that the number of female couriers is gradually increasing both in major cities and in the regions.

Statistics confirm the effectiveness of this step: many female couriers show results above the average on the platform and regularly receive positive feedback from customers.

Stability among experienced staff

While the share of women is growing, the situation regarding the age category remains unchanged. The number of drivers and couriers over 55 years old has not changed significantly and remains stable. This indicates that the platform remains attractive to experienced specialists, regardless of gender shifts in the overall staff structure.
