Following an initial modest release that affected only a few flagship models, Xiaomi has confirmed plans to roll out the stable version of HyperOS 4 to 33 devices at once. According to the company, updates will begin rolling out in the first days of November 2026, moving the firmware from narrow testing to a broad deployment phase. Context reminder: HyperOS 4 beta testing in China started on August 14, and global users joined in September, making the November release a logical conclusion to the preliminary verification cycle.
First Wave: Flagships and Current Series
The first group of 33 devices includes smartphones of the Xiaomi 17 series, including the top-tier Ultra model, as well as the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra. The list includes a number of models from the Redmi Note 15 and Note 17 series, several versions of the Poco F8 and X8, a special Leica Leitzphone edition, and Xiaomi Pad 8 series tablets. These exact devices will be the first to receive the stable firmware in early November.
Second and Third Waves: Expanding to 82 Devices
The second group of 16 devices will begin receiving the update in mid-November. It includes Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro models, Poco F7 and F9 series smartphones, certain Poco X7 Pro models, the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, Xiaomi Pad Mini, and Redmi Pad 2 Pro. The third wave is expected in December, covering another 33 devices: previous-generation flagships — Xiaomi MIX Flip, Xiaomi 14 and 13 series smartphones, Xiaomi 14T and 13T, Redmi Note 14 family models, various Poco F6, X6, X7, and M series smartphones, as well as tablets, including the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and additional Redmi Pad 2 versions. In total, Xiaomi listed 82 devices: 67 smartphones and 15 tablets under the Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco brands.
Update Size and Technical Features
The company warns that when upgrading from HyperOS 3, the update package size may exceed 8 GB, so users should ensure sufficient free storage space and a stable network connection in advance. This is typical for major cross-version updates, which include not only new interface features but also changes to the system kernel and application runtime environment.
Caveats: Timeline is Tentative
The indicated timelines are tentative and may change depending on the region, carrier, specific model, and development progress. Exact dates for each device have not yet been determined, and the order in which models are listed in the announcement may not reflect the sequence of their actual updates. Notably, the company has not announced update plans for the period after December, so the future fate of the remaining models remains an open question.
