On July 9, the weather in Ukraine will change drastically. Instead of the expected heat, cool moist air masses are approaching the country, bringing serious meteorological complications. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (UkrGMTC) has already warned the population about the risks.
Weather front from the west
Forecasters explain the upcoming changes by the unstable state of atmospheric masses moving from the west. This factor will be decisive for the weather picture on Thursday. Rain of varying intensity is expected in most regions of the country. The peak of precipitation will occur during the day, while the activity of natural phenomena should decrease at night.
Gusts and hail
The situation is exacerbated by enhanced convection. This phenomenon may provoke the development of dangerous weather conditions:
- Powerful thunderstorms;
- Gusty wind strengthening up to 15–20 m/s;
- Hail in certain areas.
Such conditions require citizens to exercise increased vigilance and observe safety measures.
Yellow alert level
In connection with the forecasted phenomena, UkrGMTC has declared a yellow alert level (Level I). This is an official warning that weather conditions may become dangerous for life and property. Experts urge people to monitor forecast updates and be ready for sudden weather changes.
