Regaining the initiative and the price of aggression
During a meeting with Ukrainian soldiers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Kyiv has managed to seize the initiative from the enemy and bring the war back onto the aggressor's territory. The head of state emphasized that this process is complex but absolutely necessary. According to Zelenskyy, it is precisely such actions that allow Russian citizens to realize the reality of what is happening and understand that an aggressive war inevitably leads to consequences.
Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian side has achieved tangible results despite having significantly fewer means and resources compared to the enemy. He expressed confidence that the world respects Ukrainians for defending their own, and emphasized that "every pure heart in the world expects only one thing from Ukraine — victory over Russia".
Russia's defeat in the Black Sea
In his speech, the President also touched upon the topic of control over the waters. Zelenskyy stated that Russia has lost the Black Sea. As confirmation, he cited examples of the liberation of Snake Island and successful operations by Ukrainian soldiers in Crimea. The head of state emphasized that the Black and Azov seas will no longer be a place of rest for the Russian Federation.
Visualizing the enemy fleet's losses
In one of the frames of the meeting with the military, a diagram dedicated to the Russian Black Sea Fleet was noticed. It displayed data on the number of Russian ships destroyed by Ukrainian forces. This visual material became part of the presentation of the achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Assessment of sentiments in Russia
Recall that earlier, in June, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the sentiments in Russian society. According to him, more than half of Russian citizens want the war against Ukraine to end. The President linked this to the fact that Russians see a lack of victories on the battlefield.
