Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that there is currently no queue of people willing to take over as head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. He announced this during a meeting with journalists, noting that personnel consultations are ongoing in both closed and open formats with the involvement of experts from the business and security sectors.

Candidate Search and Security Enhancement

The head of state emphasized that his dialogues with potential candidates are aimed solely at strengthening the capital's position amid current challenges. According to him, the main task is to form an effective team capable of genuinely helping citizens and the mayor, rather than engaging in bureaucratic infighting.

The president noted that he is holding consultations with representatives of various industries, including security and entrepreneurship. Some of these meetings are non-public, as the authorities strive to attract qualified specialists capable of handling the workload in critical areas.

Logistics Issues and Winter Preparation

During his conversation with the press, Zelenskyy also touched upon issues of material and technical support, supplies, and logistics, which are the responsibility of local authorities. According to the president, in certain situations, regional structures may lack sufficient resources of their own to address emerging tasks promptly.

Previously, the country's leadership raised the issue of Ukraine's capital being insufficiently prepared for the autumn-winter period. In particular, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko received an official warning regarding personal responsibility for the heating season.

The Significance of Personnel Decisions for the Capital

The issue of leadership in the Kyiv City Military Administration remains critically important for the stable operation of the metropolis during wartime. The effectiveness of governance determines not only security issues but also the overall resilience of critical infrastructure against future trials. The search for competent personnel ready to take responsibility during this difficult period continues at the highest state level.
